Marami Baruah did her LL.M from Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya(MSSV), Nagaon and secured  First Class First position in 2017.  She passed LL.B. from Dibrugarh University with 1st Class 9th position in the year 2012. She completed her Master Degree in English from Gauhati University in the year 2004. She has passed B.Ed. from Gauhati University in the year 2006. In addition, she completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism (PGDMJ) in the year 2007 from Cotton College, Guwahati.
She has participated in the following academic activities:

1. Participated in National Seminar on Terrorisim and Human Rights organized by Acharya Nagarjuna University, Hyderabad on 28th to 2nd march, 2009
2. Participated in Two Day Advanced Level Training Programme on Violation of Women and Child Rights in India sponsored by National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi organized by MSSV on 3rd and 4th September, 2015.
3. Participated in International Seminar on Holistic Education for a Better World organised by MSSV in Collaboration with Commonwealth Council For Educational Administration & Management, Canada on 8th to 10th October, 2015
4. Presented a paper “An Analysis of Indian Legal Regime on Empowerment of Women” in an UGC sponsored National seminar on Women Empowerment and Changing Scenario of Women Education in North East India organized by Dept. Of Education, Rupahi College on 28th and 29th June, 2017
5.  Participated in Two Day National Workshop on Legal Research Methodology organized by USTM on 27th and 28th August, 2016
6. Participated in Two Day Workshop on Legal Aid and Advocacy organized by MSSV on 25th and 26th February, 2016
7. Participated in  10 Days Workshop cum Training Programme on Research Methodology in Humanities and Social Sciences organized by MSSV from 4th to 13th July, 2017
8. Published an article “Analysis of Indian Legal Regime on Empowerment of Women” in an edited book.
