NEF College of Management & Technology is an institute promoted by National Education Foundation, Guwahati; a registered educational society established under S.R. Act XXI of 1860. The College, established in 1997, is the first institute to offer BBA course in entire North East India has emerged as a pioneer institution of its kind in North East India. The Deptt of Education (Technical), Govt. of Assam had accorded necessary permission to the College to start professional courses such as BBA, BCA, MBA, MCA, B.Tech. etc Vide. Letter No. TECH.3/2003/4 dated 03.02.2003.
Since then, the College has been imparting many professional courses to meet the demands of the younger generation of N.E. India, who are keen to join the corporate world of Information Technology and Management with a commitment to provide a strong conceptual as well as practical foundation in the field. The College aims at developing professionals and leaders of high caliber imbued with values of entrepreneurship, ethics and social responsibility.
In recognition to its contribution for up-liftment of the professional education in this part of the country and in pursuant to the Clause 5(1) of Dibrugarh University Act, 1965 (as amended up to date), the Deptt of Higher Education; Govt. of Assam has extended the territorial jurisdiction of Dibrugarh University to grant necessary affiliation to this College. Accordingly, the
Dibrugarh University has accorded its affiliation to the College from the session 2008-09.
At present, the College hosts about 300 students and spreads over 40,000 sq.ft. carpet area in the heart of
Guwahati City. The College has well equipped infrastructure, computing facility, library and Wi-Fi Campus Network which has created an ideal academic environment in the heart of Guwahati City.
The institute will provide a pedagogically effective learning ambience through extensive educational technology support. In keeping with the times, the institute will focus on learner-centric education that encourages learning by creative enquiry, group work, discovery and practice with the freedom of interaction not restricted by classroom boundaries.
