Higher education, in the present day context of the advancement of science and technology, has turned almost imperative with ever growing incentives for competition. The result is the growth of institutions offering higher education, particularly science education, and a very few institutions going at large for quality educaiton in the fields of Arts and Commerce. The continuous trend of uninterrupted inflation has reflected itself in the rising of price index day by day for which higher education has gone almost beyond the reach of the average citizens. Many promising young talents have been found staggering under the giant wheels of this economic pressure. It is with a view to giving relief to such budding talents, that National Education Foundation, popularly known as NEF, was founded in 1992 with the motto of "Education for All". After years of educational service to the North East region of the country, NEF came out in 1997 with an innovative venture by establishing a Junior College.
